Saturno ProjectIoT
An IoT system developed by OMT for injectors enables real-time monitoring, advanced data analysis and cloud management, improving efficiency and preventive maintenance.
IoT Integration for Advanced Injector Monitoring
As part of OMT’s Saturno Project, we worked on the IoT component for injectors, equipping each device with a sensor that measures parameters such as pressure and temperature in real time. The collected data is sent to a local edge device, where it is processed at very high frequency and stored in a database optimized for time series.
Real-time data acquisition on critical parameters such as pressure and temperature.
Data processed locally at high frequency for immediate responses.
Time series database ensures efficient management of collected data.
Real-time monitoring and control
In addition to the acquisition and storage of injection data, the system performs inferences and control logics in real time, providing immediate feedback to the engine control unit. In the event of anomalous parameters or exceeded thresholds, timely actions can be taken, reducing the risk of downtime or malfunctions.
In parallel, a series of KPIs are calculated and transmitted to the cloud, offering operators the ability to monitor the status of the injectors both locally and remotely.

Local dashboard and cloud management
The infrastructure also includes a local dashboard that shows injection cycles in real time and allows you to consult the history via a “replay” function, useful for studying the temporal trend of the parameters. At cloud level, a dedicated control panel allows you to view the aggregated KPIs and the overall status of the installations, providing a complete overview of the entire infrastructure.
In this way, OMT can also verify the correct use of injectors by the customer, effectively enabling an “Injector-as-a-Service” model and ensuring that resources are used optimally.
